The Weather Network | Dec 2015
*Rated as one of the top apps in the Apple App Store of 2015*
Description: I designed a new app for the Apple Watch for the launch of Watch OS1. The UX strategy behind the watch app was to deliver the weather essentials to the user who would be using the app at a glance, on the go. A more detailed forecast would require the user to deep dive into the Phone’s app to give them the full experience. The UI design took advantage of the new San Fransisco apple fonts in the end to keep the experience consistent within the Watch OS environment and as a true companion app. The experience was meant to keep the look and feel consistent with the phone’s design and its purpose was to deliver to our users a clean look with the essentials. A subtle hint of our dynamic backgrounds on a sleek black watch face set the stage, along with precipitation start and stop times that call out to grab an umbrella or not. Notifications and active weather warnings were also built in features for alert our users on the go.
