Description: A complete overhaul of the original iPad app for The Weather Network! Working as an in house consultant along side Teehan & Lax for the initial redesign strategy consisted of a fresh UI, and navigation. More weather information is now offered in a deep dive detailed section and full screen viewing experiences. The app headed into utilizing a dashboard for users to get all their weather information at a glance on first launch. The design hand off from the agency created a need for a more detailed documentation of navigational flow and IA to provide our internal development team. The technical on-boarding flow, interaction and transitions between sections and pages and front end integration were all created in house due to the gaps during handoff. Product UX and UI evolution was also created by myself for features like the detailed weather pages, charts section, maps, reports, news and video.
